Town of Webster Comprehensive Plan Update Adopted December 2008

Comprehensive Plan Details

The Town of Webster comprehensive Plan Update was prepared by a Comprehensive Plan committee consisting of citizens and Town officials.

The plan document includes an inventory of existing conditions, future land use plan, and sections that present policy recommendations for the Route 104/404 Corridor; Waterfront/Sandbar; Environmental Resources, Open Space, and Recreation; and Pedestrian Access and Safety.

An Implementation Strategy summarizes the recommendations from each of the sections, identifies the entity or entities responsible for carrying out the recommended actions, the proposed time frame for completing the actions, potential costs and sources of funds.

Annual Report Public Notice 2008 – 2009 Permit Year

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requires that specified municipalities that own or operate separate storm sewer systems implement a program to reduce the discharge of pollutants in order to protect water quality.  Monroe County, the City of Rochester, SUNY Brockport, and the Towns of Brighton, Chili, Clarkson, Gates, Greece, Henrietta, Irondequoit, Mendon, Ogden, Parma, Penfield, Perinton, Pittsford, Sweden, and Webster, as well as the Villages of Brockport, East Rochester, Fairport, Hilton, Pittsford, Spencerport, and Webster have developed a shared annual report that documents their program.  The report may be viewed at the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services office at 444 E. Henrietta Rd., Bldg. 15, Rochester, NY or at www.thestormwatercoalition.org. Comments may be submitted to tstevenson@monrocounty.gov until June 1, 2009.
