Right of Way / Easement

Construction & Obstruction

A Right of Way Permit approved by the superintendent of highways is required for any work performed in the right of way. The Webster Town Code states that nothing of a permanent nature or character shall be placed in the town's rights of way or easements. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Driveways
    • Fences
    • Invisible fences
    • Landscaping
    • Sheds
    • Sprinkler systems

    Easement Regulations

Easements may encompass your property for many reasons. It is best to check with the Building Department or Engineering Department to verify what may or may not exist on your property. Nothing of a permanent nature or character may be placed on or within the easement boundaries.
