Receiver of Taxes

The Tax Department collects town and county tax payments from January 1 through May 31 annually. The department also collects tax payments for Webster, Walworth, and Ontario residents living in the Webster School District from September 1 through October 31 annually.

For property owners whose taxes are held in escrow, bills may be forwarded directly to appropriate lending institutions.

Payment information is contained on each bill. Payments may be made:
  • in person at the Tax Receiver's Office in the Webster Town Hall during regular business hours
  • via mail
  • via the internet through Monroe County, with a 3% charge

To access the Real Property Portal click the link below. You must be registered to log in to the portal. The procedure simply requires your name or preferred username and an email address. You will receive an email that contains the password. The password can be changed anytime you want. You can also double-click on the 'Forgot Password' button on the login page if you don't remember what it is and you will receive an email with instructions.

Information on paying your 2018 Town and County Tax Bill in 2017:

TAX BILL WITH AN EFFECTIVE PAID DATE OF 2017 YOU MAY GO TO ANY POST OFFICE BRANCH BY

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 30th AND HAVE YOUR ENVELOPE HAND CANCELED

OR

YOU MAY USE THE DROP BOX LOCATED IN THE FRONT LOBBY OF OUR BUILDING.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BILL YOU MAY ACCESS THE AMOUNT DUE ONLINE AT www.monroecounty.gov

 

Log onto the Monroe County website:

1.  Click on Monroe County, NY
2.  See:  How do I?
3.  View/pay Taxes
4.  I agree after reading disclaimer (if you wish to proceed)
5.  Enter address (avoid using street, lane, road, etc.)
6.  Click Search
7.  Pay Property Taxes – upper right corner –green tab
8.  At the approximate center of this page, you will see a gray set of columns.  
Your tax amount due is under the column titled:  Total Due.

You may proceed to pay the bill on line with additional fees or you can obtain the amount due.


Credit card and electronic check payments will be accepted on the Monroe County website starting 12/29/2017. www.monroecounty.gov    There are fees to pay on-line.
