For homeowners that are concerned about a tree(s) on their property:
**Please note** The Town will work with the homeowner to assess the concern and determine the best course of action ONLY if the tree(s) resides in one of the following categories and poses an imminent threat to the safety of residents:
- Town's Right-of-Way- Park District- Town-owned Open Space- Conservation Easement - Drainage Easement
All other trees on private property will need to be managed by the homeowner.

Ash trees in Webster are currently experiencing infestations by the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive beetle.
When the tree becomes infested, the tree canopy will show signs of die-back, yellowing, and browning of leaves. According to the NYS DEC, the trunk of the tree will have large strips of bark falling off, revealing S-shaped larval galleries.
Most trees will die within 2 - 4 years of an infestation.
