FAQ’s

Does the Town pick up brush/tree limbs?

The Town of Webster does not provide this service.  Exceptions are determined by Town and/or County officials and may include wind sheer, microburst, and ice storms.

What do residents do with their brush/tree limbs?

Contact your waste disposal company on how they prefer to have it prepared for pick-up.

Does the Town recycle Christmas trees?

Yes.  You may drop off your Christmas tree at the Highway Department anytime between January 1st and March 1st.

When does leaf mulch (Black Gold) go up to the Town Hall?

Mulch PickupAfter April 1st  weather pending.

Does the Town provide a “Spring clean-up”? 

No we do not.

Who is responsible for the pond in my yard/neighborhood?

Most neighborhood ponds fall under the jurisdiction of the Town.  The Town’s responsibility is solely on functionality of the pond. Aesthetics are not the Town’s responsibility. The ponds are the Town’s flood control mechanism.

Does the Town restore or armor damage from erosion?

The only time the Town remedies erosion damage is when it is an eminent threat to our roadways or utilities.

Does the Town pick up dead animals?

Yes we do, when they fall within the Town right-of-way. Call the Highway Department at (585) 872-1443 with the type of animal and location.

There is a street light out on my street, who I call?

Call RG&E at (585) 771-6780 to report any street lighting issues.  If you live in Webster Commons only, call Gary Kleist at (585) 872-7027.

Why is the Town trimming/pruning trees in my yard/neighborhood?

Periodically the Town conducts this operation for longevity and maintenance of the roads as well as the safe passage by larger vehicles on the roadways.
