Mailboxes

It is the Highway Department’s practice to replace mailboxes that are damaged by the Town during snow removal operations. We do not repair “special” mailboxes. Any and all damaged mailboxes will be replaced with a standard 4x4 PT post and mailbox. If you have a “special” mailbox, you may consider replacing it for the winter snow season with a standard mailbox. Replacement of your mailbox is done as a courtesy and the Town is not legally obligated for damage to mailboxes.
