Webster Public Library

The Webster Public Library serves over 400,000 patrons a year, according to Library Director Terri Bennett. Not only Webster residents but patrons from other communities and nearby counties come to the Webster Library to check out books and other materials, plus use an array of computers available to the general public. Statistics from the Monroe County Library System showed the Webster Public Library increased its circulation by 23% from 525,446 in 2005 to 645,314 in 2006.

The library also features a children's room with a one-of-a-kind environment in a park-like setting. Webster’s library is so unique that officials from other libraries in Monroe County have used the Webster Library as a model when building new libraries in their respective communities.

There have been some major changes at the Webster Library during the past few years. In May, 2002 a grand opening ceremony was held as the library moved from behind Town Hall to a 40,000 square foot renovated facility located in the Webster Plaza, off Ridge and Hard Roads.
