Webster Police Department

Law enforcement services for the Town and Village of Webster are primarily provided by the Webster Police Department. Webster's force operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The main function of the Police Department is to safeguard the lives and property of citizens through the identification and apprehension of criminal offenders, conspicuous patrol and traffic control. The Community Services Section additionally provides crime prevention, drug abuse and other educational and preventative programs throughout the community.

For any Police services in Webster, emergencies or otherwise, call 9-1-1.  If you are calling from outside of the Rochester New York area, you can reach the Webster Police Dispatcher through the Monroe County Emergency Communication Center at 585-428-6666.For matters relative to police administration or records, or to reach the property clerk or Community Services Section, call 585- 872-1216, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The police urge anyone to call if something seems suspicious or if a crime is witnessed. Many people feel they do not want to "bother" the police. However, the police want to be "bothered." A timely call could prevent a crime from occurring or assist in the apprehension of an offender.
