The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for all of western New York and north central New York, including Monroe County, through 4am Wednesday, January 10.
Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 60mph, causing downed trees and power outages.
As high winds approach our area, please take precautions to help keep yourself and your neighbors safe:
Treat non-functioning traffic lights as four-way stops.
Use caution while driving in high winds.
Do not approach down utility lines of any kind.
Secure loose objects, such as trash cans, outside your house.
