The Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District's Tree and Shrub Program is now open for ordering!
The District is selling tree seedlings and transplants to landowners to establish windbreaks, reforest land, prevent soil erosion, create suitable wildlife habitats, and add value to properties. This program has been hosted by the Monroe County Soil and Water Conservation District for forty-nine years and has distributed nearly 24,000 native trees and shrubs in that time!
This year, the program has several items available, including:
🌱 Twenty-two bare root tree/shrub species
🌱 Five wildlife & conservation multi-packs
🌱 One live stake deciduous shrub
🌱 One herbaceous flowering plant
🌱 Seed mixes
🌱 Tree tubes, bird houses, and more!
Find out more online, and be sure to place your order by March 7!
